Through the most difficult time, I discovered my strength and a lesson I will never forget.
I stepped through the door and took a deep breath. It still smelled like fresh paint from finishing the remodel at the last minute. Here I was in the home I bought, rebuilt and made my own for my family.
Growing up as a child, I always wanted to become a teacher. I was always gathering the neighborhood children and my brother together to play school. I followed that dream and taught for several years both here in Arizona and in Michigan, where I was raised. Then I discovered real estate, and a new world opened before me.
My children’s father introduced me to real estate, and I earned my REALTOR® license in 2009. Though it was a difficult market, I jumped in and was a full-time agent by 2012. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to start in real estate. Through it, I discovered a new passion and way to help others.
In 2016, I had triplets, which changed my life in every way. That first year with them was a total blur. I kept working – just eight days after having the three of them, I was out delivering keys! That organization and support we built in the beginning for our children was crucial and has become key to my success today. When my triplets were 18 months old, I became a single mother.
That first year was the roughest and an adjustment period for all of us. I focused on working on myself in every area while creating a life on my own. Though I had been a full-time REALTOR® for years, I had not recognized the difference between being a REALTOR® and running a business. On my own, I clarified my goals professionally and personally, while working to become the best version of myself. Then in 2019, I hit a turning point.
At a Tony Robbins event, I had an epiphany when directed to write down my greatest fear. There, confronting me in black and white was my fear that I would not be able to provide for my children, which I was finally able to put behind me. I recognized all I had accomplished and focused on the future. I knew I could do this.
I then made the decision to move out of our big family home. I bought a fixer upper and remodeled it with a con-tractor in two weeks! While building up my business, I found my place here in the community. During COVID, I decided to host a pumpkin carving contest. I delivered 70 pumpkins that were carved by families in the community. It brought joy in a dark time, and I have continued to grow more involved since then. Whether it’s a backpack drive or photos with Santa, I am always looking to stay involved with and support my community.
I built a life on my own for myself and my three children. Failure was never an option because they were counting on me. Every day, my gratitude list features the three of them. Through it all – reading, self-reflection and Miracle Mornings – I found a way to stay true to myself.
I embraced my positivity, honesty, and strength. In the end, I realized if we know who we are and stay aligned with our values, we can do anything on our own. Whenever I am not working, I enjoy country dancing at live concerts, traveling, going to my children’s events, and spending time with friends. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® are the people I meet and helping my clients achieve the results they are looking for.
My commitment to you is to keep you informed and educated in order to have the best real estate experience possible. I am here to guide you every step of the way using my extensive experience in residential and investment real estate. I will be honest with you and ensure you have all the information you need to make the best decision for you and your future.
I promise to always work with your best interest in mind because once the transaction is done, I don’t go away. You will become a friend and a permanent part of my growing community. I look forward to seeing you at the next community event or over a cup of coffee as not only your lifelong REALTOR®, but also as your friend.
Sincerely,
Michelle Noma
